Cloud Strife nodded seriously. "It's poisonous!"
Qinyijie Guizhang, who had fallen to the ground, said with a bitter smile, "Is it really that bad?"
Cloud Strife walked to Qinyijie Guizhang’s side and knelt down, covering his eyelids which he had been trying to keep open. He whispered softly, "You're too tired. Take a nap now; wake up only when everything is settled. Your eyes seeing the world like this would make us ashamed."
Qinyijie Guizhang closed his eyes. Cloud Strife ordered the monkey to carry him away and arranged for a military doctor to treat his wounds. People of such value should be retained if possible, regardless of whether they were enemies or allies. Since the Western Xia people were quietly targeting the Qingtang clan remnants, Qinyijie Guizhang’s absence meant that he had betrayed the hopes of the remaining Qingtang people by coming here instead. How could he believe his tribe was safe in the wilderness? Cloud Strife went to great lengths for the Qingtang and wouldn't leave such a flaw unpatched.
"Advance troops from Big Ling Mountain, encircle the Qingtang!" After giving this order with a soft voice, Cloud Strife left Qinyijie Guizhang. The fate of his main force was more important than whether he lived or died.
Qinyijie Guizhang had a very long dream. He saw his parents coming to welcome him; they were indeed as beautiful and handsome as the legends said, walking on soft grass under golden sunlight, like two gods.
The sun was too intense for him to see their faces clearly, but he knew they were truly his parents. Qinyijie Guizhang joyfully ran toward them, intoxicated by this moment.
Suddenly, a bloody hand grabbed his ankle tightly. Looking down, he realized the one holding him was Jiepiao. His head was missing half of it, trying to speak with the remaining mouth effort. His legs were gone; his lower body was nowhere to be seen. Blood-red marks appeared on the grass as he crawled here… He had to crawl…
The speechless Jiepiao grew more anxious, moving frantically with the little mouth until an eagle swooped down and caught him. Finally, Qinyijie Guizhang heard what he wanted to say—ambush, save me!
The giant eagle tore apart Jiepiao with Cloud Strife’s loud laughter. It tossed a pile of meat at his feet, infuriating Qinyijie Guizhang so much that he jumped up and grabbed one of the eagle's claws. However, the eagle carried him higher into the sky, causing his heart to ache more.
The eagle flew over Big Ling Mountain, arriving in the desert. Flying high made everything look distant. He saw Tansan Lagaji, a brave man, being dragged from his horse by Song soldiers and cut into pieces before he could stand up.
He also saw Dala, respected as their leader, leading the remaining Qingtang people to fight on vast deserts. But no matter how they fought, they couldn't escape the bloody slaughter by the flying Song soldiers.
One after another, Qingtang warriors fell from their horses. These bird-like creatures grabbed them with their claws and tore them apart. Blood rain poured down…
Qinyijie Guizhang watched his people charge against these demons, witnessing how their charges were broken and each one killed. He heard them cry—where is Zhan?
Soon, the bird-like creatures slaughtered all the Qingtang people in the wilderness. Only that largest eagle circled him with Qinyijie Guizhang, seeing flocks of eagles flying to High Camps. There was no more living Qingtang left here; there were still some in Qingtang City…
The cries of the dead Qingtang people echoed across the sky. Blood rain never stopped, staining the green grass, tattered yurts, the chests of dead shepherds, and even the holy temples…
"NO!!!!" Qinyijie Guizhang yelled, sitting up suddenly. The frightened monkey ran away in terror. With bloodshot eyes, Qinyijie Guizhang was terrifying.
"If you dare to run a step further, I'll kill you!"
